Sitka the Dog needs a home
Sitka is 1-2 yr old Papillon mix who weighs 17 lbs. She is house trained and working on crate training. She is okay with dogs after proper introduction and an adjustment period. She doesn't really engage with them, but she's fine being around them. We don't know about cats, but have been told she doesn't like them. She is good with kids, but will need dog savvy kids because she doesn't always like to share her things. We are working on this also and she is making progress, but she will need a strong leader who will tell her what she can and can't do.
She is truly a diamond in the making! Sitka is very smart, and she has mad skills...she potties while holding both back legs up and walking. She is hoping for an audition on America's Got Talent!

***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers and we require a home check for each of our adoptable pets prior to them going to their new homes, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family further than 60 miles from Charlotte is responsible for finding a representative of a rescue local to them that is willing to perform the home check. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as the application is approved.***
